Position Overview:
QinetiQ US is recruiting for a remote Senior Software Developer to support a growing mission with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to heavily weigh-in on the technical design and decisions.
- Expert (and stickler for) testing early, often, and at all levels (unit, local integration with docker compose, and integration).
- Design, program/develop, and modify software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and potentially new in the future.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
- Experience designing modern enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated coding experience.
- Ability to work with and upgrade Postgres databases during minor version upgrade (via alembic or similar tool).
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of designing modern enterprise applications, including API design and automated-generation of API clients in multiple languages.
- Experience with C/C++, Scala, Groovy, Python, and/or shell scripting.
- Javascript development experience with Angular, React, ExtJS and/or Node.js.
