QinetiQ Hiring for Finance and HR Administration Assistant at Farnborough Full Time

NSC has its roots in the defence industry and continues to enjoy sustained growth in this area combined with successful diversification into the commercial marketplace.

NSC has a team of 70 employees based at our Farnborough offices and throughout the UK. There is a vacancy for a proactive, organised Finance and HR Administration Assistant, able to deal with a variety of tasks and deadlines, to play a key role in supporting the business.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the position is full time (37 hours per week) – 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday. You will be available to commence employment no later than Tuesday 19th April.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Posting of bank entries and monthly Bank Reconciliations;
• Weekly supplier BACS runs;
• Credit control and allocation of customer receipts;
• Balance Sheet reconciliations and assistance with Month End activities;
• Cash reporting to parent company;
• HR administration (new starters, leavers, pension scheme administration).

It is also anticipated that the successful candidate will take on responsibility for a number of ad-hoc projects within the business, for which training will be provided. For the foreseeable future, it is envisaged that this role with comprise of both office-based and remote working.

The Candidate

In addition to a minimum of one year’s relevant experience in a similar role, the successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Professional and courteous manner
• Confident and a quick learner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Competent user of MS Office suite, especially Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
• Flexible attitude and a team player

Because of the nature of the work, the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.
