About the Finance and Administration Team:

The Finance & Administration team incorporates financial management, budgeting, treasury, accounts payable and receivable, procurement and administration functions.

Role Purpose / Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include financial accounting, investment and cashflow, taxation, asset registers and other ad-hoc duties. Some responsibilities are, but not limited to;

Financial Accounting

• Preparation of annual financial statements;
• Support the management of the external audit process;
• Support the management of month end processes including reconciliation of ledgers and ensuring timing and accurate financial transaction processing;

Investment & Cashflow:

• Monitor cashflow needs and investment options;
• Monthly reporting and accounting functions for investments;
• Provide support to the Investment Committee including preparation of agenda and briefing papers as required;

Taxation

• Tax compliance work (indirect taxes);
• Prepare and / or assist tax agent with any tax returns as required; and
• Prepare and / or assist with any ATO reporting as required.

Asset Registers

• Co-ordinate the update and maintenance of asset registers;
• Co-ordinate the valuation and stocktake of assets to ensure compliance with statutory requirements; and
• Assist in improvements of asset management process and system.

Strong focus to assist with continuous process and systems improvements within Finance combined with a willingness to be part of and support the Finance Team.

About you:

You should have;

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or related discipline
• Membership of a professional accounting body
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Australian accounting standards and Australian Tax
• Substantial experience with external audit processes and extraction of data and analysis from an integrated accounting system
• Ability to operate independently and as a senior member of the team
• Strong planning, communication and organisational skills

Remuneration: Salary range is $109,746 to $117,520 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time, permanent position.
