• Join the Group Investment team as an Analyst, Investment Operations and Data

Your new role

As the Analyst, Investment Operations and Data you will work closely with our team located in Sydney and New York to ensure operational coverage across all time zones and geographies. The key focus of the role is to support our Traded Markets & Externally Managed Funds teams located in Sydney and New York and execute BAU investment operation activities including trade matching and settlements, cash & asset reconciliations, derivatives collateral management, corporate actions, security setup and data validation and unlisted assets administration.

You will also;

• Ensure transactional activity and data are appropriately processed, recorded, and maintained in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
• Perform data validation checks, investigations and contribute to resolutions.
• Document investment operations processes, controls and procedures and follow the required processes and controls; and retain supporting evidence to meet audit requirements.
• Build and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders (Investments, Treasury, Accounting, System Solutions, Line 1B and Line 2 Risk, Internal Audit) and external stakeholders (external managers, counterparties, custodians, investment system solution providers, data providers and external auditors).
• Contributes to scheduling and management of workload to ensure that system functionality and availability meets user requirements, and outputs are delivered within agreed timeframes.
• Designs and implements business solutions that meet stakeholders’ needs and are in line with strategic direction and able to be implemented within agreed scope and timeframe.
• Escalate incidents and issue proactively with manager and contribute to the root cause analysis and resolution.
• Actively participates in and contributes to GI projects and initiatives which support achievement of business goals.

About You

To be successful as an Analyst, Investment Operations & Data you will have previous experience in trade and investment operations with

• good knowledge of investment instruments from operations and trade settlement perspectives including fixed income, equities, unlisted property and infrastructure funds, private debt, ETFs and exchange traded derivatives; and
• good knowledge of operational and trade support workflows and functions (including account and securities setup, trade matching, settlement, corporate actions, collateral management, derivative operations, cash and asset reconciliation, securities pricing, and unlisted asset valuation and fund operations).

You will also have;

• Hands-on knowledge of investment systems and technology (Blackrock Aladdin, Simcorp Dimension and Efront preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Very good communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations and drive actions and resolutions
• Very good problem-solving skills and analytical skills
• Good planning and workflow management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise to ensure work delivery by required deadlines
