As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Brisbane, you will be responsible for recruitment activities and support the business in sourcing great talent for our operations business groups who will represent the Qantas brand with pride.

Your focus will be on the sourcing and selection of talented people into their respective teams across various roles. With your consultative approach, you will implement relevant strategies, ensuring the candidate experience is always positive and reinforces our organisation’s employment brand. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a range of key stakeholder groups with internal and external sourcing and recruitment related activities
• Implement sourcing strategies aligned to workforce planning requirements and training accessibility
• Focus on identifying and designing effective recruitment strategies by conducting thorough vacancy planning
• Coordinating resources to ensure sourcing project timelines are met
• Identifying and monitoring sourcing project timelines, ensuring we provide and innovative, efficient and effective service
• Ensuring the candidate experience is always positive and reinforces our organisation’s employment brand
• Coaching, training and supporting business managers and people advisers on effective and best practice recruitment strategies
• Ensuring publicly available content such as job advertisements, Qantas Careers content and any other content pertaining to Qantas’ employment brand is in accordance with corporate communications and Qantas Brand guidelines

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Substantial experience recruiting a variety of differing roles in a large, complex organisation
• Experience with campaign and single roles including experience with international recruitment
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and ability to perform under tight deadlines in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
• Proven experience in developing recruitment strategies, implementing recruitment processes and coordinating recruitment campaigns to successful outcomes
• Ability to develop plans and coordinate multiple project activities with stakeholders, managing conflicting deadlines and coordinating resources accordingly
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office and experience in delivering efficiencies via technology using Workday or another recruitment system
• Good problem solving capability and ability to exercise sound judgement, exploring innovative approaches to sourcing strategies
• Excellent written skills, with well-developed accuracy and attention to detail
• A natural confidence to present in front of large groups who may be both internal and external to Qantas
• A natural ability to build rapport and trust in a team and with key stakeholders, challenging the status-quo when required
• A flexible approach based upon changing business needs and workload allocation
• An understanding of HR and IR laws and their impact on the recruitment process

Previous experience with in a fast paced recruitment environment will be looked upon favourably.
