Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Romford, Essex, RM7 9NP

Salary: Up to £25,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

Full Time and Permanent – Monday to Friday – 8.30am-5.00pm
Would you like to work as part of one of the south-east’s most well-respected car dealerships? If the answer is yes then we have an exciting opportunity for you as our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their accounts team at their head office in Romford, Essex

This role is office based.
The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in the production of monthly reports and annual and related reports and prepare forecasts and budgets. You’ll reconcile the Balance Sheet Account and assist in control and distribution of all group finance income. Ideally you’ll have previous Motor Trade accounts experience (but this is not essential) and be AAT Qualified or studying later stages.
You’ll also have intermediate knowledge of Excel and be committed to really making a difference.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • To assist in the cream of a variety of reports for internal customers
  • Undertake detailed analysis and data mining to ensure accuracy of reports
  • Provide information on trends and forecasts to a diverse customer base within the organisation
  • Comply with all relevant financial accounting processes and procedures
  • Ensure all work output is of the highest compliant and ethical standard
  • Help create an environment that encourages suggestions for improvements and best practice
