What will you create?

Our R&D & Government Incentives team brings together a diverse group of accountants, lawyers, engineers, scientists and software developers who are passionate about helping businesses to fund and deliver innovative projects. Our core offerings include assistance with preparing R&D Tax Incentive claims and applications for State and Federal Government grants.

We may provide specialist advisory and consulting services, but they require a broad skill set and in this role you will gain invaluable exposure to a wide range of competencies, working directly with some of Western Australia’s most innovative businesses, from exciting startups to blue chip stalwarts. Our current client base includes local, national and global organisations across clean energy, technology, space, defence and many other high growth sectors.

As a Consultant in the R&D & Government Incentives team, you will collaborate with supportive colleagues to assist clients to access the R&D Tax Incentive and apply for State/Federal Government grants. This will involve evaluating the technical and commercial details of R&D projects against the relevant eligibility/assessment criteria and preparing a range of detailed submissions. It is varied, interesting work that involves lots of interaction with our clients’ management, operational and finance teams.

About you

• We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual who aspires to succeed in a dynamic, high performance environment.

• Prior knowledge of the R&D Tax Incentive or State and Federal Government grants, though advantageous, is not a requirement.

• You will ideally possess a degree qualification in commerce, law, engineering, science, technology or a related field, plus 0-2 years postgraduate experience.

• Strong communication skills are a must, including an aptitude for technical writing.

• You are a natural problem solver, capable of applying critical thinking and independent judgment to a range of technical and commercial issues.

• A learner mindset will help you make the most of working alongside a national team of experienced professionals.

• Excellent interpersonal skills are vital, as is a passion for collaboration and digital tools.
