What will you create?

PwC’s Major Service Provider (MSP) is seeking Commercial Finance and Investigation expertise working on numerous Defence projects.

Some key responsibilities include;

• To be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex price and cost analysis activities including the preparation, review and reporting of price and cost investigations work within an integrated workforce;
• To work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work;
• Exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures;
• Provide detailed pricing and cost analysis technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development;
• Will involve considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues.
• Perform financial investigations tasks including, examination, analysis and reporting on pricing proposals, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, providing specialist costing and financial advice, and guidance on financial and commercial aspects of tenders or contracts;

Also, Disciplines will include;

• Costing: Direct, Indirect and Opportunity Cost; Allowable/Disallowable costs and Cost Principles; Costing Methodologies; Cost Accounting; and Whole-of-Life Cost
• Pricing: Pricing Basis and Build Up; Profit Principles and Profit Rates; Pricing Risk Allowances and Contingencies; and Pricing Indices and Scope Changes.
• Risk: Risk Assessment; Risk Quantification; Pricing Risk – Contingency, Allowance, Tolerance; Risk and Uncertainty Smart Buyer profile and impact on PES; Risk Management and Pricing – Industry Methodologies and related T&C’s across the life cycle
• Financial Considerations through project life cycle and Sustainment/BAU Contract Types: e.g. Performance Based Contracts (PBC) including Key Performance Indicators, Key Health Indicators and System Performance Indicators
• Financial Considerations through project life cycle and Acquisition Contract Types: e.g. Target Cost Incentive Fee (TCIF)
• Financial Considerations through procurement life cycle: T&Cs in relation to the above; Tender Evaluations as SME to the Financial/Commercial TEWG; CCP’s; and Pricing Indices
• Financial Viability: Contracting Entity Key Ratios and Historic Analysis; Current FY Status, Business Plan Forecast and Basis and Assumptions; Scenario Analysis and Sensitivity Analysis to critical variables
