As the Director of Talent Acquisition and Strategic Workforce Planning you will work closely with our Centre of Excellence (CoE) and report to our Head of People Strategy and Transformation.
You will be responsible for evaluating the firmwide, near term bench strength and developing the firmwide talent acquisition strategy that will reach the talent we need to achieve our business goals. To drive this, you will be responsible for setting up the firmwide approach to Strategic Workforce planning that will effectively forecast the gap between future workforce demand and supply to enable us to better understand what we ‘buy, build or borrow’.
This talent acquisition strategy will incorporate: an employer brand strategy that attracts outstanding candidates; inclusive and innovative candidate sourcing; cultivating and nurturing talent pipelines; and sophisticated and relevant technology that supports candidate selection and interviewing methods along with onboarding plans that are all focussed on exceptional candidate and manager experience.
Setting the direction for all strategic activity done by their CoE’s, by leveraging creative, inclusive and resourceful thinking to benefit the employer brand, strategic workforce planning and optimise our talent acquisition function.
Managing the team leadership in the CoE’s , ensuring alignment to our firmwide strategy, and drive strategy and policy aligned to their areas of expertise. Drive the Diversity & Inclusion agenda across the CoE’s, ensuring its incorporation into every element of the talent acquisition agenda.
Key Accountabilities
Building an intimate knowledge of the talent marketplace for the professional services industry, as well as PwC’s ongoing workforce needs
Guardianship of the overall approach to Talent Acquisition, policy, processes and framework
Stewardship of how the candidate experience is felt and perceived by everyone involved in the hiring processes
Set the strategic direction for partnerships with outsourced service providers
Developing, implementing and managing the firm’s overall talent acquisition approach encompassing EH, GM and SR, contingent workforce and resourcing strategy, including talent engagement, employer brand, ensuring alignment with the global PwC strategy
Leading the establishment of a firmwide strategic workforce planning approach (including toolset) to ensure demand and supply of labour and skills across the Lines of Service are being maintained and are aligned to future strategy including what roles and skills will be required in the future based on technological/ delivery mechanism change – contributing to firmwide thinking on which skills we should ‘buy, borrow, build’
Bringing insight on Recruitment technology and process and use them to continuously advise on best practice delivery through the Operating Model
Working in close collaboration with People Partners, People Directors, Workforce Strategy Specialists, Finance, Procurement, IT, MI/Data team, Shared services (if relevant), and outsource providers
Ensuring a sophisticated and sustainable / agile approach to assessment and selection
Leading a team of CoE specialists in the areas of workforce planning, employer branding, talent engagement and sourcing strategies
Contributing to the development of the wider People strategy and working closely with the People Leadership team to ensure cohesive and coordinated services
Considering the use of Recruitment Process Outsourcing as an effective and efficient recruitment strategic option
Setting direction for overall vendor and supplier management strategy and delivery
Essential Skills and Experience
Technical Skills
Substantial experience in Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand and Strategic Workforce Planning areas of expertise
Experience in developing processes, analytics, systems, tools and platforms help deliver access to diverse talent
Understanding of the firmwide strategy, goals, and commercial aspirations
Ability to integrate the core PwC values into all CoE practices
