Boots on the Ground, Working Foreman to Inspect, prepare and supervise hydraulic shops’ personnel and equipment. Work with Company Management to prioritize and schedule required resources to complete work orders in a timely manner without complications. Coordinate with Management to efficiently and properly plan and sequence a range of repair and maintenance job tasks, utilizing appropriate workspace. Monitor production, quality assurance conformity, inventory, and job completion requirements. Complete necessary job documentation and records, when necessary. Directly work on job components when needed. Identify and mitigate sources of waste, including equipment needing repair, defects in materials and workmanship, and inefficient work practices.
JOB TASKS
– Co-ordinate job workflow and employees with regard to Company plans and schedules.
– Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment.
– Recommend employee discipline as required.
– Know and administer Company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
– Effectively communicate with Management, Customers and Employees.
– Assist Sales Manager in procurement of parts, components, equipment and job consumables.
– Assist Field Service Call lead personnel when required.
– Assist Customers when requested with information and or direction.
– Maintain work order delivery schedules and quality control.
– Oversee tool and equipment operations in order to avoid operations malfunctions and safety defects.
– Document and record relevant job information and measurements.
– Oversee and direct maintenance of a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area.
TOOLS/TECHNOLOGY UTILISED
Hydraulic and mechanical jacks, hand trucks, cranes & hoists, wrenches, screwdrivers, grinders/honing tools, drills, saws/cut-offs, punches, torches, iron workers, company vehicles, material-hoisting slings, welding machines, data entry software, Microsoft excel and Microsoft word.
KNOWLEDGE
Machining, tool & die, automotive/heavy equipment mechanics training. Workplace safety and operations (HSE) training. Apprenticeship program or certified machinist/mechanics documentation is helpful. Mechanical inclination and interest in hydraulics/pneumatics. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
SKILLS
Controlling operations of equipment, production output and manpower. Machining or fabrication Supervisor. Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner.
