The Education Programs Administrator is a full-time position joining the education team to help amplify the mission of the Putnam and to further establish the Putnam as a leading resource in the Quad Cities for innovative educational programming and community learning.

This position supports the Vice President of Museum Experiences (VPME) in coordinating the museum’s educational programming and related events including collaborations with our community partners. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with public and private school districts; families; students and teachers. Under the direction of the VPME, the Education Programs Administrator will play a vital role in achieving the Putnam’s strategic plan objectives.

As the successful candidate, you are a self-motivated leader who can work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You are friendly with a sense of humor and have excellent skills in written and verbal communication. Attention to detail is a priority for you as well as creativity, enthusiasm, and energy as it relates to interacting with teachers, visitors, partners, and the community. You round-out your core competencies with excellent organizational skills while managing multiple priorities, adhering to schedules, and working productively.

In this role you will sell Putnam educational programming to schools and youth groups; process reservations for special events; and work closely with museum educators, volunteers, and staff across all departments to ensure a high-quality visitor experience for all groups. This is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position with a starting range of $14.42 – $16.50 along with a competitive benefits package. Position Requirements: A minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative position is required. Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired.
