Description of Work:

PURVIS Systems is looking for a results-driven software tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report issues to the development team. Software tester should have a working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run tests and report results.

Responsibilities:

• Support testing of U.S Navy acoustics systems, developed in a Linux, C++, Qt environment, including performance of the following tasks:

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests on software Graphical User Interface (GUI) and interfaces.
• Analyzing test results, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the development team.
• Interacting with design/development team to understand product requirements.

Qualifications:

• 5 – 7 years professional experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is a plus.
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
• Working knowledge of programming.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.

Candidate must have a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
