Pursuit Search Group Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist Job at Indian Land, SC Full Time

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral member of the Human Resources team who manages talent acquisition efforts for the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist II is primarily responsible for reviewing and posting job descriptions, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, referring candidates to hiring managers, extending job offers, implementing onboarding strategies and keeping accurate records of all candidates and new hires for the company and related entities. Must be professional and a strategic thinker who partners with managers to fulfill their staffing needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partners with managers and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
• Reviews job descriptions submitted by managers and recommends changes in format, duties, skill sets, education, and experience requirements in addition to soft skills that may assist in identifying the ideal candidate.
• Together with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, develops and maintains a recruitment budget, programs, posting sources and advertisements, etc. to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
• Develops and maintains a network of strategic partnerships and relationships, contacts, etc. to help identify and source qualified candidates.
• Utilizes online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
• Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization, position and benefits.
• Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
• Manages all communication with candidates from the moment they apply until they get onboard.
• Utilize E-verify to ensure employment eligibility of all newly hired employees in accordance with federal law.
• Writes and places job advertising in various media.
• Prepares miscellaneous HR transaction reports for internal stakeholders.
• Utilizes internal job posting program consistently and effectively to identify potential internal candidates for open positions.
• Works effectively with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates if the situation warrants and negotiates all buy out fees with agency.
• Attends recruiting seminars to keep up with cutting edge recruiting methods.
• Works with corporate security to obtain reference and background checks on candidates.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to recruiting and hiring.
• Stays abreast of talent acquisition trends and makes recommendations to align processes with current trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR or talent acquisition.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
• Understanding of HR practices, recruitment and onboarding legislation including E-verify.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff and with external parties.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Self-starter who can collaborate as a team member and work independently.
• Thorough knowledge of office practices and employee procedures.
• Strong time-management, organization, analytical and prioritization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, execute, and document project related work.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism when handling highly confidential and sensitive information.

Pay: $62,000.00 per year
