Purpose Financial Hiring for Strategy and Operations Analyst Full Time

Position Summary

This position s to VP, Central Operations and is responsible for reviewing data, financial s, market data, operational workflows and processes, and other information sources to analyze and identify strategies, tactics, and improvements in overall business operations. This includes statistical analysis of various data sources to drive and support operational projects, tests, pilot programs, operational KPI tracking and goal-setting, and other functional support. Responsibilities will also include dynamic data visualization, financial and success metric planning, supporting ROI analysis, resource planning and budgeting, and strategic recommendations for improvement and execution. This role will work tightly with Operations teams, Finance, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Product Development, and Enterprise Data teams. An ideal candidate can manage projects both cross-functionally and autonomously, ask the question of why this way or why not try this, can see complex problems from analysis to execution, and prioritize objectives based on maximum business value.

Job Responsibility

• Drive initiatives that support breakthrough or innovative ways of operating storefront, online, or call center operations through deep data analysis and business process evaluation.
• Support Operations team in building, implementing, and continuously improving projects and initiatives that result in better customer outcomes and improved profitability.
• Prepare and present creative, dynamic concepts, ideas, projects, and/or strategies to middle and senior level management through strong verbal, written, and visual communication.
• Provide strategic and day-to-day analytics, ing, and insights for Operations functions, with emphasis on digital/e-commerce operations.
• Perform regular complex statistical, financial, and economic analysis for solving complex problems and then synthesize solutions into consumable, actionable plans.

• Demonstrate extreme curiosity about business processes and customer experience to dive deeper and mine opportunities for increased profitability or improved efficiency. Have the courage to question steady-state processes, identify gaps in current operations, and offer insights to consider data-driven alternatives.
• Support testing new ideas, models, and processes by collecting and analyzing results, challenging assumptions, and recommending logical next steps.
• Support financial planning and budgeting process, translating financial goals into operational success metrics and planned targets.
• Build and foster strong relationships with Finance, Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence, Collections, Customer Experience, Credit Risk, and Loss Prevention leaders and staff.
• Communicate with operators, customer experience specialists, collections team specialists, management, and other leaders for additional insights into complex data problems and the human impacts.
• Provide data stewardship for Operations, assisting data quality engineers as needed.
• Produce ad hoc ing, analysis, and other data models skillfully as needed.

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree or higher education in the fields of study of Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics and Statistical Analysis, Economics, Finance, Digital or E-Commerce Management, Business Management, or Accounting.

Experience Required

2-4+ years in data analytics, digital/e-commerce sales operations and analytics, financial planning and analysis, or similar management consulting roles required. Financial, banking, or direct-to-consumer lending industry experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge Required

• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with ability to state complex problems in simple terms. Must be able to present analysis and other presentations visually through modern techniques and common tele- and video-conferencing media as well as in person.
• Vision and agility to manage multiple projects from ideation through implementation.
• Able to lead teams and projects through strong influencing, negotiating, and servant-leadership skills.
• Exceptionally adept at prioritizing projects and tasks.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and sales.
• Strong data query skills using SQL query language through various SQL applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products, including SharePoint, PowerBI and other analytics and organization tools.
• Masterful collaborator through various media such as email, chat, and voice that results in an effective remote employee.
• Ability to speak to technical and non-technical team members seamlessly.
• Deeply analytical and critical thinker.
• Can effectively use workflow, project management, business process, or other organization tools for projects.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
• R, Python, or other statistical programming tool language experience preferred, but not required.
