Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner to join our Purina HR team to provide HR support to our Purina division in Gatwick.
At PURINA, we work every day to create richer lives for pets and the people who love them. We are proud to make many of the UK’s most popular and trusted pet food brands including FELIX, WINALOT, PURINA ONE, BAKERS and DENTALIFE. Bought by millions, our much loved brands have been unlocking the power of food for over a century – helping pets and their owners live happier and healthier lives together.
We understand pets are more than just pets. They are our friends, confidants and partners in crime and we believe in the magic of the pet human bond. We constantly look for ways to make that bond stronger, whether it’s helping companies become dog-friendly or supporting pet adoption charities to make more bonds possible. Offering pets, their owners and pet professionals best in class experiences, while playing our part in protecting our planet for future generations is how we make a positive difference.
Our employees tell us that PURINA is a great place to work and somewhere you can grow, feel valued and included. We have a flexible approach and embrace agile ways of working that empower our people to innovate and act with speed. We believe that by working and learning together, as one team, we can all reach our full potential.
A day in the life of…
This role offers a real opportunity to work with senior managers as their business partner from day one supporting our Purina brand providing HR support and coaching to provide best in class service. This role will provide the flexibility and autonomy of getting to the heart of people issues, working to develop fit for purpose solutions with a continuous improvement mentality.
You’ll also be responsible for:
A number of key, strategic work-streams and organisational development
Building excellent relationships with all employees
Running the talent process and succession planning
Being involved in initiatives such as engagement and focusing on results from employee surveys.
Working closely with the senior functional heads and their managers to ensure alignment
We operate with a centralised employee services team and centre of excellence so liaising with central HR employees will also be a key part of your role. There’s no getting away from the fact that this is a demanding and challenging role, but if you’re looking for somewhere where you can contribute to tangible, sustainable results, then this could be the place for you.
What will make you successful
Your career so far will demonstrate a track record in operational HR, with a demonstrable ability to work as a true business partner. You’ll need to be able to build on your experience in a large scale business environment, and you’ll be accustomed to translating a wider market HR strategy and policies. Ideally, you’ll have a commercial HR background, but as a minimum you’ll need to have a proven track record of working within a HR role delivering tangible outcomes that make a real difference to the business.
What we offer in return…
What can we offer in return? Great benefits you’d expect from a business the size of Nestlé – in the shape of a competitive salary and benefits package, bonus scheme, flexible working scheme, 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays plus 12 days flexi leave per year, pension scheme and a real focus on personal development and growth.
The closing date for this role is 28th January 2022
We will be considering candidates as they apply so please don’t delay in submitting your application and if we have a large response we reserve the right to close the advert early so not to disappoint too many people.
At Nestlé, our values are rooted in respect – for our employees, our customers and our consumers. That’s why championing diversity and inclusion is so important to us; when we embrace different perspectives and give everyone the chance to be the best they can be, we can think in new, creative ways that grow and enhance our business. We are committed to equal opportunity for all and we may collect relevant data for monitoring purposes during our candidate registration process. Be yourself, everyone else is taken!
