ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Systems Analyst is primarily responsible for Operational Accounting data integration and analysis. The Accounting Systems Analyst will also troubleshoot processes related to general and operational accounting and coordinates with other departments in resolving complex accounting problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accumulate and analyze large quantities of data to distill information into insightful analysis
• Integration of new data and operational processes in Bolo
• Assist in coordinating data retrieval and building ad hoc reporting from the Operational and production software systems
• Trouble-shooting and problem-solving with Operational Accounting – Revenue and JIB
• Assist and develop to serve as a subject matter expert for the Accounting Group on BOLO, Microsoft Excel and Access
• Respond to and fulfill data requests to support business analysis and decisions
• Develop and maintain lease operating statement templates, BOLO hierarchies, Account and Cost Center Grouping in Bolo
• Prepare monthly lease operating statements
• Perform monthly joint interest billing metric analysis
• Assist the Joint Interest group with Joint Venture Audit research and reporting
• Prepare and monitor Payout Calculations
• Assist the Revenue Group with ONRR, Severance Tax audit and annual Gross proceeds filings
• Other ad hoc operational analysis as requested by operations or accounting management
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 5+ years of experience upstream oil and gas industry accounting system experience required (BOLO and Excalibur experience preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills and acute attention to detail
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 annual + bonus
