Finance Assistant

Location(s): Leeds

Due to business expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to support the finance team.

Responsibilities for the role include:

• To provide administrative support to the Finance and Procurement teams;
• Dealing with all purchase invoices, including daily posting on relevant systems
• Resolving supplier purchase invoice queries, direct with suppliers
• Statement reconciliations and preparing payment lists for weekly pay runs
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• Assist with credit control including chasing customers via telephone
• To deal with incoming communications paying attention to customer care;
• To participate in training and self-development.

To be considered for the role you must have:

• Accounting knowledge, including purchase ledger and sales ledger procedures;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including excel;
• Good commercial awareness;
• Excellent time management skills and organisational abilities;
• Excellent communications skills and confident on the telephone;
• A desire to achieve set goals and be self-motivated;
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as within a competitive team environment;
• The ability to multi-task;
• Previous experience in a customer focused environment;
• A minimum of Level 2 AAT;
