Punchcard Systems Hiring for UX UI Designer at Remote Full Time

At Punchcard, we’re in the process of inventing a new type of consulting agency, and so we need great people to come along this journey with us. Our clients come to us to help them solve interesting challenges using technology. We’re scaling our team and are looking to add a UX/UI Designer to our design team.

Our UX/UI Designers (also known as an Interaction Designer, Web Designer, User Interface Designer, User Experience Designer, or a few other titles we’ve probably missed) get to work with our clients to capture their needs as well as our product teams to build apps and software development projects. We’re looking for a designer who understands the importance of negative space, margins, details, and balance, and who is particularly excited about using technology as a platform to solve problems.

What we need you to do:

• Work with clients to understand problems and design experiences that align with their needs and values as well as those of their users.
• Create user-centered wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes in tools including, but not limited to, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers in defining and implementing solutions for various mobile and web products.
• Create, use, and extend visual patterns, design languages, and assets for mobile and web applications that are easy to use and appropriately documented.
• Contribute to user research and testing.

Skills we expect you to bring:

• More than two years of UX/UI design experience around web and mobile apps, demonstrated with a strong portfolio.
• A degree or diploma in design, business, communication, or technology.
• The ability to apply design thinking to understand user problems, explore user-centered designs, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Strength in designing responsive layouts and components through wireframes and mockups, with consideration of accessibility and best practices for interface and experience designs.
• The ability to create, maintain, and follow design languages and systems.
• Clear articulation of design decisions and rationale.
• Expertise with design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
