Pumpkin is looking for a Director of Inside Sales to lead our sales team to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and foster a high-performance sales culture. In this role, you will develop and coach the current team to deliver aggressive sales growth goals, as well as oversee future expansion. Working closely with the SVP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for setting strategies and OKRs for the inside sales team and broader sales organization. Leveraging your data-driven B2B selling expertise, your ultimate goal will be to establish Pumpkin as the leading Pet Health Insurance provider within the veterinary channel. This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement of 2-3 days a week in the Columbus, OH office.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop sales strategies, forecast goals, and performance incentives to drive teams to exceed ambitious growth targets. 
• Coach and motivate team of 20 sales reps and 2 managers to optimize sales productivity and exceed individual quotas 
• Create a data-driven culture managing KPIs like call volume, opportunities created, pipeline growth, and win rate. Leverage CRM analytics to identify optimization opportunities
• Design comprehensive training programs covering objection handling, consultative selling skills, product knowledge, and other areas to accelerate rep proficiency and refine selling processes
• Establish strategic key account relationships and programs to grow veterinary channel sales 
• Partner closely with marketing leaders to create targeted lead gen campaigns, targeted content, and sales enablement materials
• Forecast sales, identify trends, and quickly adjust strategies to meet changing market needs
• Expand the sales team through recruiting, interviewing and hiring new inside sales reps to drive acquisition of new customers and market share gain.
• Develop actionable insights and market intelligence based on your clinics, corporate groups, and industry contacts and share cross-functionally.
• Travel up to 25% of the time (sales team meetings, trade shows, company related travel)

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the animal health or insurance industries
• 5+ years of sales leadership and people management experience in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
• Strong track record of developing teams and exceeding stretch sales quotas and targets.
• Exceptional coaching, leadership, collaboration, and analytical abilities.
• Expertise with CRMs, performance analytics, and sales automation tools (Salesforce, Salesloft Cadence, TryProspect, Outreach)
• Ability to pass/obtain Property & Casualty License within 30 days of employment.
