Responsible for in country Finance function:

• Delivery of finance pillars (reporting, forecasting, budgeting and planning);
• Maintaining an effective control environment;
• Working capital management; and
• Stakeholder management.

The Finance Manager Australia will act as a business partner to the General Manager, supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.

• Timely submission of month end, forecasts, budgets and 5 year plans and capital expenditure;
• Ensure variances to metrics are developed and explained to relevant internal stakeholders;
• Ensure management, compliance and timely submission of all statutory reporting (statutory accounts, tax returns, FBT, NGERs, payment times reporting, state taxes, ABS surveys etc.); and
• Ownership of management reporting and ensure the business receives reports to enable decision making

• Ensure DOA is adhered to;
• Ensure financial infrastructure and systems are maintained;
• Understand and monitor key financial and control risks and ensure mitigations are in place;
• Address findings from internal audit (including continuous auditing); and
• Manage external financial audit, ensuring timelines are met and concerns are raised and cleared with the relevant internal stakeholder

• Management of treasury function including financing, cash management, investment and borrowing funds and maintaining relationships with the banks; and
• Management of Credit & Collections function, manage credit risk, monitoring and improving performance in the area of credit & collection.

• Ensure a well-resourced and motivated finance team, coupled with continuous enhancement of local skills by demonstrated record of on-job training;
• Maintain constructive relationships with external stakeholders (ATO, customers, industry bodies, banks, auditors);
• Be a partner to the business, ensuring connections to every team (operations, quality/R&D, customer service, supply, HR, shared services center and sales)
• Co-ordinate legal issues and the association with the assistance of Legal Counsel; and
• Support the GM in the developments in the Country, including M&A activity, Greenfield start-up, new business / anchor customers tenders, advise financial impact, project manage the processes and lead the financial integration of all new customers / businesses.

• Maintain adequate insurance coverage for the country;
• Assist in administrative requirements for the Brisbane head office;
• Provide support to the infrastructure business or any other associated business units as required; and
• Any other adhoc duties as required.

• Relevant Bachelor Degree
• CPA/CA

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar roles.
• Seasoned professional with an extensive understanding of accounting, financial systems, tax legislation, credit management, and working capital management
• Experience working in a global organisation will be well regarded

• Ability to work and collaborate with relevant functions across the organisation including upper levels of management, as well as with international teams and recognise cultural distinctions.
