Emergency Medical Technician – Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the EMS medical professional will provide a high standard of patient care in both emergent and non-emergent settings. As part of the inter-facility transport team, determines the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishes priority for required care. As needed, the EMS professional will render emergency medical, basic medical or trauma care, to adults, children and infants based on assessment findings. As per MIEMSS protocol, they will constantly assess the patient en-route to the emergency facility, administer additional care as indicated or directed by medical control, assists in lifting and carrying the patient out of the ambulance and into the receiving medical facility, s verbally and in writing, their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics upon request provides assistance to the receiving medical facility staff
Requirements:
MD EMT (B) With or without national certification
CPR for healthcare provider (AHA)
Valid Drivers License
EVOC or CEVO
Experience: Must have 3 years minimum ALS driving experience.
Physical Requirements – Must Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and all subsequent random or for cause drug screening
Aptitudes required for work of this nature are good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times.
Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects up to 100 lbs on your own.

Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures in the system in which assigned.
Maintains awareness of any and all changes in the system components and company policy.
Continuously maintains the level and type of certification(s) consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.
Ensures that unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply, and equipment, cleanliness and appearance standards.
s immediately any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.
Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
s all problems and unusual occurrences immediately.
Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.
Attends all mandatory in-services.
The high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment and common sense with a thorough understanding of the principles of emergency medical care.
Ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other internal and external team members/customers
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external team members/customers in such a manner as to reflect credibly on Pulse Medical Transport
Demonstrates a level of skill and ability consistent with the provision of high-quality patient care.
The ability to perform effectively as a team leader in patient care situations. Ability to operate computers and communication equipment. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population. Ability to think and react quickly and effectively to tense situations.
