The Education Supervisor will be responsible for the operations of the Puentes Hacia el Futuro elementary and middle school programming. As additional education team staffing resources are secured, responsibility for part of these age groups may be shared collaboratively with another team member. This position reports to the Education Director.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following (and subject to COVID-19 considerations):

– Create lesson plans and facilitate regular after-school and summer programming for elementary and middle school age groups.

– With relevant programming partner(s), oversee core team of 1-4 paid contractor facilitators for schoolyear and summer programming.

– Manage annual volunteers and student interns.

– Identify and manage compliance with COVID-19 safety procedures for in-person programming and events.

– Together with Education Director, support a possible PTE in program admin functions.

– Foster positive, long-term relationships with students and families.

– Engage in on-going, strategic reflection and evaluation of program structures and content in collaboration with students and families.

– With Education Director, develop and iterate strategies for student and parent leadership development and involvement in program decision-making.

– Collaborate with other Puentes de Salud staff and teams to integrate Education programming with other services/projects to better serve students, families, and clients.

– Deepen constellations of opportunities for youth and families through maintaining existing and cultivating new relationships with local collaborators. Serve as main point of contact for relevant external partners and relationships.

– Track and analyze data from Puentes Hacia el Futuro programming for internal records and external reporting.

– With Education Director and other relevant staff, prepare narratives for grant writing and funding opportunities.

– Support other aspects of Puentes’ evolving work as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in education, human development, or a related social science – or commensurate experience in a related field – is required. Graduate or advanced training a plus. One to three years of work experience in a related field, as well as experience with refugee or immigrant populations, are required. Oral and written fluency in Spanish is required. The Education Supervisor is expected to demonstrate competence with building and growing family relationships, navigating local structures for educational and mental health support, and working as part of a multi-faceted team spanning Puentes de Salud and various partner organizations. This employee must be able to use Microsoft office and Google suite with the ability to work independently.

Salary $40,000-$50,000 annually commensurate with experience
