As a Junior Finance Business Partner your main responsibilities would be:

• Deliver management accounting services for a programme or projects within a programme
• Account to the Senior Programme Accountant for the quality of the management accounting services provided
• Continually improve the performance of the management accounting service
• Take responsibility for specific contracts within the Home Office. Embed the end to end contract financial management framework to ensure delivery of contractual financial obligations; forecast and support the effective utilisation of contract funds
• Providing financial oversight including implementation of the corporate system of financial control and ensuring workstream financial controls are efficient and effective
  Responsibility for accurate financial reporting

Essential Requirements

• Experience and ability to demonstrate wide knowledge of public sector finance, including treasury guidance
• Technical accounting transactional experience
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks

Desirable Requirements

• Qualified accountant /Part-Qualified (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Active SC Clearance
