Public Sector Resourcing Hiring for HR Administration Job at Remote Full Time

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has been set up to provide health security for the nation by protecting from infectious disease and external hazards. It will need to take action like no other organisation previously in order to mitigate threats to health before they materialise. UKHSA will be a trusted source of advice to government and to the public.

Our job is to process HR requests from the business, making sure we are compliant with the Civil Service Commissions Recruitment Principles and other legislative requirements.

We are recruiting for multiple positions in HR Administration.

As HR Administration your main responsibilities would be to:

• Provide a gold standard People helpdesk support to deliver HR information and change form administration to the business.
• Act as First point of contact on end-to-end helpdesk and change processes, administration, and verification systems to best serve operational needs to the business.

• Provide high quality, consistent daily HR advice, support and resolution to Line Managers and members of staff on all aspects of the employee lifecycle in order to resolve as many queries as possible at first point of contact and, where appropriate, ensure the correct escalation of queries to subject matter experts and team management, including follow up to ensure resolution within the agreed SLAs.
• Ensure all employee data is accurately entered and maintained into MAPS and ESR and any other associated HR systems in a timely, accurate and consistent manner to agreed standards and targets, including sending any relevant letters/paper work, for example contract variation letters, confirmation of family friendly leave, etc.
• Provide support to Line Managers with policy related queries including disciplinary, capability, grievance and performance related matters seeking advice and / or referring to the Employee Relations team.
• Develop and maintain team and customer relationships by providing accurate HR advice, support and continuous improvement aligned to SLAs, employment legislation and best practice, ensuring a quality and professional service to all customers, first time, every time.
• Ensure the People Helpdesk management system reflects the nature of the query/work request and actions taken and where escalations have been required these are detailed to ensure accurate and comprehensive employee / line manager information is held and records / files are up to date.
• Advise managers and promote a culture where key stakeholders are aware of and own issues within the business with support and guidance in line with HR policies, procedures, and process maps.
• Identify new queries from customers that could be added to the Knowledge Bank to increase self- service and reduce future queries coming through to the People Helpdesk.
• Ensure a high level of confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work and ensure that the People Helpdesk management system accurately reflects the reasons for contact, any escalation required, and the advice provided.
• Action workflow requests in a timely and consistent manner to agreed service standards.
• Identify issues and incidents and resolve / escalate to ensure cases have been resolved satisfactorily and can be closed.
