As a Finance Business Partner – (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities would be:

• Deliver management accounting services for a programme or projects within a programme.

• Continually improve the performance of the management accounting service.

• Take responsibility for specific contracts.

• Ensure delivery of contractual financial obligations, forecast and support the effective utilisation of contract funds.

• Provide financial oversight including implementation of the corporate system of financial control and ensure workstream financial controls are efficient and effective.

• Produce accurate financial reporting and provision of appropriate management information.

• Production of the finance case in business cases and spending proposals.

• Supporting project governance actively managing risks and opportunities against the latest plan, financial forecasts and change control.

• Overseeing budget delegations and tracking performance against control totals. Manage and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.

• Dedicated business partners work closely with partners to provide collaborative and influential relationships ensuring that Finance is at the heart of key decision making.

• Provide valuable financial advice, challenge and support providing strategic insight and business solutions

• Support with Policy Interpretation that links
  financial reporting to business strategies

• Translate and communicate complex financial information clearly

• Support Business Cases offering advice on accounting issues/value for money

• Ensure business adherence to MPM, CGB, IFRS and other Government standards

Essential:

• Experience of Investment valuation and appraisal

• Experience of supporting and understanding of Business Cases

• Experience of working across a portfolio including strategy and change

• Experience of working with stakeholders

• Highly approachable and positive team member

• Experience of budgeting frameworks

• Experience of strategic analysis

• Experience of multiyear spending

Desirable:

• Public Sector experience
