Income Accountant (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months

Location: Remote

Working as part of a small team providing analysis of fee income and recoveries to enable future fee income and funding decisions.

This role will predominately focus on the ORS PIU, ISA, Fees and Cash workstream within the ORS Financial Sustainability Project.

The Agency is undertaking a project to reach financial sustainability as soon as practically possible by making use of current fee funding and other income streams. This project’s aim is to make best use of the resources they have and to ensure all costs are met by the most suitable method.

As an Income Accountant (Inside IR35), your main responsibilities would be to:

Work as part of a small project team to support current strategy work to develop solutions which better meet agency sustainability

Engage with key staff at all levels across the wider business to achieve project goals and objectives

Forward looking estimation of recognisable fee rates, oversight of income recognition and input to strategic considerations of fee rate and/or regime change

Provision of the overarching understanding across the range of Fees and Income which support ORS activity, including the impact of historic fee regimes and the interaction between different elements of the fee regime

Analysis of evidence from a range of sources, to influence strategic decisions relating to fee regimes via Excel modelling and interpret results to determine drivers of income

Understand technical processes and complex income streams under review and to allow the presentation of findings to the Project Board

General support to the Agency in the development of greater understanding within finance and across the business as a whole of the drivers which influence income and expenditure and the factors which drive recognition, cash flow and ensuring the requirements of public sector accounting and governance are met

Provide other financial support and analysis as required to other Project Workstreams to assist in ensuring the successful delivery of the overarching agency sustainability project work

Essential:

· Income accounting and recognition (IFRS15) experience

· Public Sector reporting e.g., Managing Public Money and FReM

· Experienced in engaging with senior stakeholders (i.e. Business Partnering or Project working)

· Excel and PowerPoint advanced user

· Qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA)

Desirable:

· Ideally public sector experience
