Public Sector People Hiring for Digital Marketing & Social Media Officer at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Full Time


Public Sector People are working with a number of government organisations within Southeast Queensland.

We have an exciting role available located in LOGAN.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing and Social Media Officers for a 2-month Contract positions with the possibility of extension or direct appointment.

These roles are within a government organisation. There will be ongoing training and development within the role. Flexible working is welcomed.

Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To

  • on trending and effective social media activity and find innovative ways increase social media footprint.
  • Improve engagement and integrate with other marketing and service delivery activities.
  • Monitor and manage conversations, discover relevant and engaging content, schedule posts and identify new digital marketing opportunities to support the branch’s objectives.
  • Produce analytics ing and recommendations on campaign effectiveness, social media engagement and growth with recommendations.
  • Monitor social media platforms for brand and topic related conversation and actively engage in posts, blogs, tweets etc. to promote the Council’s marketing objectives.
  • Plan, create, manage, optimise and evaluate digital marketing campaigns, using platforms such as:
  • – Meta (Facebook) Business Suite
  • – Google Network (Ads and Display)
  • – LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • – Tweeter Ad Manager
  • – Google analytics
  • – Sprout
  • – Campaign monitor

About you:

  • You will have experience working with all types of social media.
  • You will have worked with government or similar types of organisations previously.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and pick up systems quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use your initiative!
  • A tertiary qualification in Communications, marketing, digital media.
