In this role, weld operators will be challenged to push the limits of low and hi voltage EBW utilizing full CNC control of all motion and welding parameters. Responsibilities:

• Operates CNC controlled electron beam welding machines to join a variety of materials such as titanium, inconel, copper, aluminum, and steel.
• Supports Engineering with new part development
• Supports Quality with continuous improvement and evaluation of production challenges
• Follows detailed work instructions to perform production welding
• Completes required paperwork such as material travelers, weld schedules, and quality records
• Visually inspects electron beam welds for compliance to customer requirements
• Prepares parts for pre-weld cleaning and assembly, as well as inspections and packaging
• Observe equipment to help diagnose machine malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Perform basic machine maintenance as required to maintain part quality and quantity standards.
• Follows safety policies and operates all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Meets customer and Company qualification requirements (i.e. eye exams, weld qualification samples)
• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with CNC equipment and Electron Beam Welding machines (5+ years EB experience preferred)
• Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints
• Understanding of operation sheets
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
