Senior Site Engineer

North West

£50000-£60000 plus package

We are working with a National Construction organisation who are looking for a Senior Engineer to work on their new build developments across the North West

Duties/Responsibilities

As a Section / Senior Engineer you will report to the Project Manager / Engineering Manager and take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team, including supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating the project and resources.
• Coordination of subcontractors to ensure they achieve programme outputs.
• Write, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Write, review and implement Inspection Test Plans.
• Fulfil the duties of Underground Services Coordinator.
• Ensure works are carried out as per ITP’s including correct engineering checks, hold points, inspections and tests.
• Constant communication and liaison with the commercial team providing detailed information to allow for accurate financial reporting including compensation events and early warnings.
• Manage snagging system that records and clears all snags and notifies commercial team and subcontractors.
• Control and minimise waste on site.
• Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.

Experience

• Read & Interpret data and drawings.
• Advanced setting out techniques and able to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
• Relevant Civil Engineering or Building experience
• Proven leadership and delegation skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• HNC Minimum
• SMSTS.
• Relevant CSCS card.
• Office 365 expertise/CAD.
