PSR Solutions Looking for Quality Engineer – Structural Steel at Crawley, West Sussex Full Time

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer with Structural Steel experience to work for an established contractor within the civil engineering sector.

The right person will have experience in a Quality Engineer position or been working in a Senior / Section Engineer role in the past.

Key info:

• Type of work will involve installing new concourse, staircases, lift shafts

• To implement and enforce the project’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Quality Plan and ensure that all activities are undertaken to the level expected by the specification

• Establish/ adapt the quality assurance system specific to the works from company standard

• Write an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and a Quality Plan for the project

• Communicate the relevant content of the ITP and Quality Plan to all personnel undertaking the works.

• Assist the project delivery team in undertaking inspections and sign offs of elements of work, ensuring their compliance with the ITP and specification

• Ensure that ITP and Quality plan are followed in all processes and procedures and to proactively intervene where necessary to ensure compliance.

• Ensure that the Site Engineers maintain traceability records of all works in terms of their compliance to specification and self certification requirements. Audit these records on a regular basis.

• Advise team leaders on QA issues

• Liaise closely with project engineers raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where elements of work do not meet the required standards of the specification and ensure NCRs are closed out and findings implemented.

• Create effective working relationships with client’s representatives and building control and respond to queries on site QA process issues.

• Facilitate the process of close out of all contract documentation, sign off of all QA documentation and the preparation of a Health and Safety file and O.& M manuals
