An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional to join PSPS in the role of Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will join the Business Partnering function within the Financial Services Department and will be involved in delivering a comprehensive end to end budget management service to our client councils. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budget planning and modelling to inform both operational and strategic planning.

Experience of a Local Government Finance is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, a desire to learn new things and an enthusiasm for varied tasks.

The role is suited to an effective communicator with first class interpersonal skills who is confident in dealing with client officers and colleagues alike. Excellent IT and analytical skills with a good understanding of accounting principles is essential. As is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting demands to achieve deadlines accurately and on time.
