P&S Personnel Looking for Lead Geotechnical Engineer at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Full Time

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join their team based in Great Yarmouth, on a full time permanent basis.

 You will be responsible for geotechnical project data and sample acquisition, laboratory testing and reporting.

The primary role of the Lead Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for managing and controlling the geotechnical project deliverables including handling, quality checking and processing offshore data; managing the onshore lab testing scope; and reporting the final deliverables.

Additional consultancy work including engineering analysis (geotechnical parameters for engineering design, will also form part of the role for the appropriate candidate. You will also mentor and assist with training junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised BSc degree or equivalent in Geology, or Civil Engineering and will have experience working with geotechnical data, quality control and processing of CPT data along with good technical report writing skills and a good understanding of laboratory testing. Experience of geophysical data handling or ground modelling will also be beneficial.

A good knowledge of the software including Microsoft Office suite, gINT, ArcMap, and GlobalMapper is essential for this role. Preferably. the candidate should also be familiar with GIS, Geodetics and basic map work.
