We are on the lookout for an Accounting Manager to join our department in Sydney (NSW) or Southport (QLD). The role is instrumental to our core business of delivering professional strata management services to our clients. You’ll join a team that prides themselves on having fun while working hard to be the best in the industry.

Objectives:

• Responsible for all accounting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including month-end close, financial statement review, and financial statement presentation.
• Direct leadership of a team of 6 with the potential of more.
• Preparation and presentation of budgets and financial statements and work with internal Strata Manager’s to answer related questions.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review Strata Plan annual accounts, annual tax returns, enhanced accounts, GST registration, and BAS & income tax returns preparation for Strata Plans.
• Work with external CPA’s on annual audits of various financial statements.
• Provide professional advice and management of investment accounts.
• Provide monthly/quarterly reports as required.
• Assist with the implementation and documentation of special projects.
• Ad-hoc strategic analysis.

What makes you stand out from the rest?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• At least 8 years’ accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years’ of direct leadership experience
• Strata industry experience preferred but not required
• Advanced leadership skills, mentoring, coaching and supervision
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Able to review and analyze financial statements
• Financial planning and analysis experience required
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and MS Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
• Experience in presenting and discussing financial information
• Strong written and oral persuasive communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced work environment
