Proudfoots Home Hardware Building Centre is Looking for Summer Job: Delivery Helper Full Time

Looking to spend the summer outside and get in great shape at the same time? Proudfoot’s HHBC in Pictou has a summer job available as a Delivery Assistant and lumber yard helper from May 8th until the end of August. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our great team of customer service professionals.

Responsibilities:
– Assist Delivery Driver in unloading product at construction sites and customers’ homes
– Work as a team to pick orders and load delivery trucks
– Provide efficient, pleasant and safe customer service in our warehouse and lumberyard
– Maintain inventory in lumberyard and protect from weather
– Keep lumberyard and warehouse neat and clean at all times
– Complete all tasks in accordance with company standards
– Work on other tasks as assigned by your supervisor, including general cleanup, maintenance, restocking, and yard/warehouse customer service when not on delivery.

Requirements:
– Good communication skills, written and spoken
– An ability to lift heavy materials (100 lb)
– An ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Note that one day of weekend work will be scheduled every two weeks

No previous experience is required. This is a labour intensive job and you will be outside most of the time.
