Position Summary: The Senior Key Account Manager will manage both domestic and international shared accounts supported by ProTrans Enterprise. The main role of the Senior Account Manager will be focused on retention and growth by developing strategic solutions to our customers. The Senior Key Account Manager will provide strategic support and leadership to a team of Key Account Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this role include:
• Provide leadership and direction to KAMs and cross-functional teams and identify global business opportunities to generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts.
• Execute business development plans (forecasts, budgets and operating plans), and provide leadership to the sales and marketing staff, operations, and systems delivery groups.
• Coach, train and mentor direct s and provide career development opportunities though training, and quality management activities.
• Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development, and project requirements are met.
• Manage open tasks for assigned accounts to ensure deliverables are met and closure occurs on key customer initiatives.
• Serve as an escalation point on assigned accounts to address significant customer issues.
• Understand all contract and service agreement terms, addendums, etc. for assigned accounts.
• Manage assigned account statements/scope of work, and ensure all departments are operating to the contractual requirements established.
• Create and present to management, s concerning market planning and analysis, service offerings and the changing business environment.
• Support internal and external customer billing inquiries as requested.
• Responsible for the identification and implementation of customer savings in order to support contractual requirements.
• Assist with and drive for growth within the account to support overall volume and revenue.
• Cultivate creative and supportive savings plans to help the needs of the customer.
• Support and implement various retention initiatives for account longevity.
• Work cross-functionally with the Sales Team to help develop new business opportunities.

Education & Experience:
• The ideal candidate preferably will have a degree and/or two (5-7) years of similar experience.
• Experience in the field of logistics and supply chain.
• Experience in supervision of staff.
• Strong command of various functions within Microsoft Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and agreements, operating procedures, etc.
• Ability to write routine s and correspondence; and
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role provides direct supervision for one or more staff members.
Travel:
• 50%
Language Skills:
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
