With the aim of engaging our learners and helping them find routes into further education, training or employment, we are looking for an Esports Tutor for our exciting new esports provision in Gloucester.

While being a fun and interactive activity that’s capturing the imagination of millions, esports can also open doors into myriad industries and employment opportunities.

The successful applicant will be required to oversee the development and structure of the esports zone for teaching and learning.

We are looking for a digital tutor with an interest in gaming, to provide innovative and creative lessons to a brilliantly diverse group of learners with varying needs. You will build their confidence and communication skills and enhance their existing level of education. You will lead them a step closer to success in gaining a recognised qualification which will enable them to potentially pursue a career in esports, sports, sales, marketing, technology … who knows where else?

Essential Specification

• Teaching/training experience
• Digital Gaming and Creative Media experience
• Competent digital skills
• Excellent organisational, delivery & communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to work to performance targets and KPIs
• Experience of working with young people
• Good level of Maths & English (minimum Level 2)

Desirable Specification

• Assessor qualified or prepared to work towards the qualification
• Teaching qualification
• Sound knowledge of esports, marketing or business
• Level 3 qualification in Digital Gaming, Creative Media
• Experience of effective partnership working (internal and external)
• Willingness to complete a teaching qualification and/or Assessing qualification
• Flexible approach to learning and course development
• Ideally have experience in creating modules and programmes

Additional Information

Salary: Up to £26k

Contract: Permanent (on completion of a successful probationary period)

Location: Gloucestershire. This role will serve the community across the wider Gloucestershire area so a good geographical understanding would be helpful

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week – 8:45am-16:45pm Monday-Friday
