Job Description

Praspect College is a vocational school located in downtown Washington, D.C. We are looking for an experienced Career Services Specialist to join our Career Services Department; We’re looking for someone to assist in the career development of students and graduates, help us establish relationships with prospective employers, present employment opportunities to graduates, and help graduates in their job search.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists graduates with job placement.
• Participates in student orientation sessions as assigned.
• Assists with the arrangement/promotion of career fairs
• Assists students with résumé and cover letter preparation
• Conducts Mock interviews with students to prepare them for finding a job.
• Updates graduate employment data in CampusVue,
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• BS/BA degree with accounting coursework or related work-experience.
• 2+ years of staffing or career placement experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications (Windows Explorer, Word, and especially Excel),
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarization with CampusVue (a plus, but not necessary)
