Propel Insurance Hiring for Accounting Processor – AP Job at Tacoma, WA Full Time

The Accounting Processor will be primarily responsible for completing initial reviews and data entry. These tasks involve collaboration with internal accounting associates and account managers. This position will help support the Accounting Team with various tasks and projects. This position handles highly confidential information.

Duties also include various Accounting Department functions including, but not limited to:

• AP Processing
  • Receiving and gathering payable invoices and statements and filing them properly into the e-filing system from Vendors and Carriers
  • Reviewing the payable invoices and statements against their matching invoices in the accounting system
  • Reviewing vendor invoices for payment and data entry of payment in accounting system
  • Preform initial reviews of check requests
  • Making payments from our accounting system
  • Completing reviews and payments on time and accurately
  • Reviewing emails received in shared inboxes, distributing properly, and following up on emails pending a response
  • Updating working files used by the payables team
• Other Duties
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Provide the Accounting team with support and back-up with various tasks
  • Providing ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Back up the Accounting Processor on the Receivables side

• Accounting Requirements:
  • Knowledge of vendor payables process and concepts
  • Ability to accurately process large quantities of daily transactions QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY
  • Ability to learn and use innovative technologies on a continual basis
• System knowledge Requirements:
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Excel: Vlookups, Pivot tables, Sort, Filter, Etc.
    • Sagitta experience is a plus
