Cook and Educator Casual

We are currently seeking suitable and qualified staff on casual basis with a passion for providing high quality care and education to our children.

Duties include among others:

· Assist and support the centre staff in the day to day duties.

• Identify opportunities for change or improvement in all areas of operations of the centre to improve quality of services.
• Keep up with emerging needs in children’s services and pre-school education and contribute towards further expanding the children and family program services within the community.

· Prepare or assist in the preparation of high quality nutritional meals and snacks for the children.

· Day to day kitchen duties.

To be suitable for this position you must have:

· Amongst other attributes, relevant qualifications in food handling and preparation.

· Early Childhood qualification, e.g. Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

· Knowledge of the early childhood industry.

· Demonstrated experience in cooking for children.

· Proficiency in English is a requirement and an additional language is desirable but not mandatory.

· Excellent written and oral skills and excellent time management skills.

Mandatory:

· Fully Covid-19 Vaccination status.

· Criminal History record check.

· Working with children check.

· Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

• Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate

What we offer:

· Salary will vary between $29.59 and $35.91 per hour according to qualifications & experience under the Children’s Services Award 2010
