Sr. General Accountant (Santa Rosa, CA and Minden, NV)

We are a leader in designing and manufacturing high-temperature vacuum furnaces used for R&D and producing engineered products and materials. There is an immediate employment opportunity for a Senior General Accountant to manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, cash receipts, and financial assets.

This position requires a person willing to initially work in Santa Rosa, CA, for 4-5 months and then relocate permanently to our new plant in Minden (Carson City, NV). Relocation expenses paid.

We have an impressive 70+ year history in the advanced thermal processing marketplace as a pioneer in using innovative materials for medical, lighting, and aerospace industries. Our systems are used in manufacturing a wide range of products, including life-saving coronary stents, artificial joints, aircraft turbine blades, orthodontia, high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting, and analytical instrumentation.

Compensation range: $85,000 – $110,000/yr.

Position Responsibilities and Requirements:

· Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, cash receipts, and financial assets.

· Coordinate and perform accounting functions to maintain the general ledger in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policy and procedures.

· Ensure accurate and timely sales invoices, purchase orders, and other AP/AR transaction processes.

· Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger journal entries.

· Perform monthly and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statement analysis and reports.

· Work closely with external auditors on the audit process by completing requested schedules.

· Resolve account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.

Preferred Qualifications Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· CPA is required

· Must be authorized to work in the US

· 5 + years of accounting experience with an understanding of US GAAP

· Experience with any ERP systems preferred SAGE

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
