Produce8 Hiring for Software Engineer [Remote Work] at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Produce8 Inc. is a venture-backed startup launched out of the Top Down Ventures incubator. We are building a new category of collaboration software that will provide digital-first and remote teams real-time visibility into the work they are doing across all of their business applications. The product is currently in an invite-only beta with a planned launch in 2022.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our engineering team. You will have the opportunity to take raw business requirements and translate them into the design of a brand new SaaS business application. You will be a key part of crafting a new category of software that will revolutionize the way companies and employees manage the changing nature of work – helping them optimize their use of their technology and their time. Working under the guidance of a knowledgeable and experienced leadership and advisory team, you’ll have the chance to work on an early-stage product being crafted for a multi-billion dollar market.

You’ll be working in a well-funded startup with a small team of hands-on engineers and product leaders building something awesome in a market that they know intimately. We have a solid product concept, stable funding, a great advisory group, and a deeply experienced engineering and product team. We need you to join us to help make it happen!

You’ll be working remotely from anywhere in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be working across the whole application stack depending on where you’re needed most and can have the most impact. Some days you’ll be building GraphQL services using Appsync or writing Lambdas and Step Functions in AWS for data analysis or using CDK to help evolve our infrastructure as code platform or doing POCs on new features using the latest and greatest from AWS.

You’ll also have an opportunity to work with the engineering and product team on crafting solutions for business requirements and plan iterations and releases.

We are remote-first, so you’ll be working from your home office and need to be available for team meetings during PST working hours. We have a beautiful office space in downtown Vancouver that we can when needed but we’re open to candidates outside the lower mainland as well.

About You

You have 3+ years of experience working on production scale SaaS applications in a variety of languages

You have experience working in the cloud: Preferably AWS

You enjoy solving big challenges with a great team

You learn constantly

You enjoy working with small and cohesive teams

You’re comfortable sharing your knowledge and skills with teammates as well as asking for help when you need it

You like building web apps and the back end infrastructure that makes them tick

You want to help build a new product from scratch

You’re independent and can work from your home office effectively
