The Sr. TA Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruiting throughout Proctor Loan Protector’s four locations. This position will work closely with the TR Team and departmental leadership to determine staffing needs by streamlining development and recruiting plans, sourcing /assessing candidates, and assisting in the onboarding process for new teammates. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the attraction and hiring of the best possible talent to meet business needs. The ideal candidate must have experience in talent development, high volume recruiting, and leading recruiting efforts.

The Sr. TA Specialist is responsible for all or part of these areas:
Proactively partners with hiring team leaders to determine staffing needs and ensure understanding of the requirements and expectations for those needs.
Source and recruit candidates (internally and externally) using a variety of outlets including job postings and social media platforms.
Develop recruiting tools and techniques to assist Proctor Loan Protector in meeting staffing and placement needs.
Leverage resources to recruit the highest caliber candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, career and job fairs, professional networking, internal referrals, and local media sources.
Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal team leaders and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
Screen resumes, administer the appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, suggests recommendations for hire (or not hire), and assists in the delivery of employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings.
Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates by maintaining awareness of market salaries and benefits of local competitors and identifying staffing trends.
Follow up with candidates and hiring team leaders to ensure updated information on the interview process status.
Assist with internal hiring efforts by assessing teammates for different or more senior positions.
Works with hiring team leaders to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
Manage resumes and applications according to PLP/Brown & Brown retention policy.
Maintain accurate record-keeping details in compliance with federal and state requirements (EEO documentation, AA, etc.)
Maintain weekly recruiting metrics to review with the TR team and leadership.
Maintain information in the applicant tracking systems to ensure compliance and accuracy of metrics.
Train other members of the Talent Acquisition team on process, procedure and talent acquisition best practices.
Assist the TR team in onboarding new teammates.
Coordinate with the TR, Training, and Operations departments to ensure new hires are started efficiently.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, or university in Human Resources or closely related discipline preferred.
3-5 years + recruiting experience in either a corporate setting or placement firm for professional roles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail.
Preferred/Required Qualifications:
5-8 years of demonstrated hands-on recruiting / talent development experience along with general HR knowledge
Ability to utilize advanced sourcing techniques including but not limited to conducting web and social media searches, preferred
Strong, previous experience in using applicant tracking systems, preferred
Experience in recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions, required
Leadership experience, preferred
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and competing deadlines, required
Advanced Microsoft Office experience, preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills, required
Highly motivated, disciplined, fast learner with the ability to multitask, required

5+ years’ experience in Human Resources

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.

Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
