Pro Insurance Solutions Ltd currently has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our UK Finance team, working within Pro’s Treasury Team. Pro operates a hybrid working policy with regard to location and remote working and this role will be working on a remote basis, with travel to the Gloucester office as required.
This is a brand-new role and will provide support to one of our clients by maintaining and controlling their purchase ledger, including creating weekly payment runs.
Role and Responsibilities
Tasks include but are not limited to:
· Review of invoices received via a central mailbox, chase any outstanding items for coding or approval
· Raise weekly payment run
· Ad hoc payments as required
· Cashbook entries for any foreign currency or ad hoc payments
· Maintain process documentation for the role
· Weekly MI reporting
· Generating remittances
· Setting up new suppliers
· Checking supplier statements
· Matching invoices to Purchase Orders
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
We are looking for a conscientious, positive and enthusiastic person, who is adept at maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and clients and can demonstrate the following:
· Experience of MS Office software, specifically Excel
· Demonstrable experience of purchase ledger processes
· Understanding and experience of accounting principals
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to deliver accurate information with an attention to detail
· Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
· The ability to multi-task in order to meet several objectives in the same timeframe
· A working knowledge SUN64 and Barclays banking platform would be advantageous
