Oversees Flight Operations ensuring aircraft are operated to the highest level of safety and that all crew members always maintain professional standards
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with minimal supervision
Leads, manages, and directs pilots and Base Chief Pilots to ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, professionalism and quality of Flight Operations
Aids or counseling as appropriate to ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of Flight Operations
Coordinates with the Director of Operations to establish and adhere to appropriate training standard sand scheduling
Assists in the development and maintenance of company’s policies, procedures and other publications
Ensures that all company pilots conform to standards as outlined in the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and perform to the level of standards outlined by the Company’s training program
Investigates incidents and provides corrective action, if necessary, to crew members failing to perform to standards
Provides leadership and collaboration with other departments to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy and procedures
Knowledgeable of the contents of all manuals associated with Flight Operations
Acts as a liaison with the FAA regarding infractions or and regulatory issues
Promotes an environment focusing on Pilot professional development, while fostering the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment
Screens, interviews, and makes recommendations for hiring potential pilots, as required
Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of Pilots
Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of pilots
Performs special projects or other duties as assigned or required
Acts as Manager on Duty, as required
Ability to write s, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management,
Possess the stamina needed to work long days with frequent change in temperatures, climate and weather conditions
Travel up to 20% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays

Pay: $120,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
