About the role

Significant growth in the business has provided the opportunity for a Marketing Assistant / Intern to join the team in Melbourne. ing to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you will get hands on experience in all things marketing. If you have a desire to learn, are keen to grow and develop within a company, and are a fast learner, then this role is for you! Don’t have a qualification or any real work experience yet? Don’t fret, the team will teach you everything you need to know.

We are flexible on the start date for this role and are keen to discuss options with candidates.

Option 1: full or part time internship starting from September / October 2023 with the view to become a permanent employee in 2024.

Option 2: Permanent position starting in January 2024.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the Senior Brand Marketing Manager (and other team members) to implement brand strategy for our mastheads
• Learn and observe how sales campaigns work with a view to getting more involved as time goes on
• Learn about briefs and how to develop and implement them
• Use marketing technologies to build journeys and run tests to ensure their effectiveness
• Assist the team with administrative tasks related to all aspects of Marketing
• Assist with projects and events from time to time
• Grow understanding of stakeholder management and how to run marketing campaigns

About you

There is no requirement for previous marketing experience for this role, we will teach you everything you need! We actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups and urge you to apply, even if you don’t have all of the below skills/experience:

• You may be in your final year of, or just finished a Marketing or related degree, or have a strong aptitude and desire to get into this space
• Knowledge of Google Suite including google docs, slides etc
• High attention to detail is a must in this role
• Desire to learn and hit the ground running
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong interest in digital-first brands
• Be available to work in the Melbourne office minimum 3 days per week
