K-2 Instructional Designer

We are seeking instructional designers to develop online English Language Arts courses for grades K-2. The project involves taking existing face-to-face teacher guides for K-2 ELA lessons and converting them into student-facing interactive online learning modules. Primary responsibility is creating storyboards with instructions to guide developers to build online courses. Other responsibilities may include script-writing, writing and editing teacher guides, and creating student workbook pages.

Qualifications:

K-5 curriculum development and/or teaching experience. If it’s in ELA or social studies, that’s ideal, but other subjects are fine too.
Experience creating online learning. Candidates must either have experience writing storyboards OR using authoring tools like captivate, storyline, articulate 360, rise, softchalk, etc to create online learning.

We are looking for someone:

Experience in K-5 education

Storyboarding and/or creating interactive online learning using tools like Storyline, SoftChalk, Captivate, or H5P.

• Canvas LMS experience a bonus.

With a bachelor’s degree
Someone who has worked in an instructional design capacity specifically in K-2
Someone who is detail-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude and commitment to scalability.

Minimum of 10-15 hours a week of current availability required, but can offer as many as 30 hours a week, based on writer’s schedule and success with the project. Project is expected to run through early fall 2022.
