We are currently looking for a qualified Education Coach for this location. The Education Coach ensures that the teaching staff understands the components and supports the philosophy of the Primrose Balanced Learning System. He or she will make classroom observations, provide professional support for the teachers, and identify staff training needs. The Education Coach will help train teachers and ensure that all components of the Balanced Learning System are in place so teachers can implement the Balanced Learning curriculum effectively. Candidates must have a strong background in early childhood education, a passion for working with children, and strong leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensures that teaching staff understands the components and supports the philosophy of the Primrose Balanced Learning System
-Makes classroom observations, provides professional support for the teachers, and identifies staff training needs
-Helps train teachers and ensures that all other components of the Balanced Learning System are in place so teachers can implement the Balanced Learning curriculum effectively
-May conduct tours of the school and interact with children and parents about programs/curriculum
-Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
-Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director
-Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manages all resources effectively
-Consistently implements the Primrose Schools’ Continual Learning -Plan to prepare and support teaching staff
-Helps the Director operate and manage all aspects of the school, including business management, education and continual learning and development, campus environment, and marketing and communications
-Oversees and ensures consistent implementation of the Balanced Learning System for all students enrolled at a Primrose school
-Ensures that all class bulletin boards are current and provides the parents with an overview of the material taught in class
-Plans with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in Early Childhood Education required
Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
Early childhood management experience a plus
Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility a plus
Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly professional and dependable
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
