You’re energized by the impact we can make on each individual kid that uses Primer — not just because it’s a great business opportunity.
You love to make things work, both by staying organized while managing a to-do list as long as a CVS receipt, and by identifying and developing new processes and systems to make those tasks easier.
You’re familiar with out-of-school learning spaces for kids ages 9-14 (such as afterschool programs, summer camps, or homeschool co-ops), and can point to specific behaviors from kids and adults that make these environments magical or miserable.
You can talk to anyone about anything, whether you’re sending an email to a parent about disruptive behavior, giving a 10 year old feedback on their 3D model on Zoom, sending a quick Slack message to loop our CEO into a parent conversation, or talking through strategies to increase energy in a Room with a facilitator.
You’re comfortable moving quickly and staying flexible. We are a small, early stage startup, and run lots of experiments to find what works. What you work on will look different week by week.
You’re familiar with using modern, cloud-based tools (such as Slack, AirTable, Intercom, or Notion) and are confident learning how to use new ones and how to use these tools in new ways.
About the role
As the Education Program Assistant, you’ll work on the Education Team. We are currently three full-time members and a small team of part-time remote contractors; together, we develop and deliver our live and asynchronous learning experiences and support our community.
You’ll manage the delivery lifecycle of Primer-hosted rooms and pursuits, from scheduling and signups, to family communications, to feedback for facilitators.
You’ll help develop new systems and processes that make that delivery lifecycle easier to run and scale without losing the magic of personalization and flexibility.
You’ll help keep Primer a safe and exciting site for kids to explore their interests, in part by helping families navigate sensitive conversations about our Code of Conduct.
You’ll bring the online experience to life with magical moments like mailing physical prizes or Primer swag to kids.
You’ll help Primer grow from our starting point into the future by going above and beyond families’ expectations, sharing insights across the team, and figuring out how to do more in less time.
This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. This role is likely to do their best work in person, but we may consider senior candidates based elsewhere in the US with experience working remotely.
