Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Brief

Prime Trust is seeking an experienced backend software engineer for a full-time remote position to help us build, support, and scale Prime Trust products. The right candidate can expect to develop new and existing features alongside their team cross-functionally with product managers, design, and QA.

Principal Responsibilities

Set technical direction for and own the design and implementation of system architecture and infrastructure

Develop new and enhance existing features as we scale

Investigate and resolve defects

Help scope, estimate, and prioritize work

Provide mentorship and guidance to teammates

Work to define and adhere to our internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices

Experience and Skills

3 years+ experience scaling Ruby applications

3 years+ experience with Sequel, Sidekiq, and Postgres

Must be an excellent listener, collaborator, and communicator

Passionate about solving engineering problems and seeing your solution through to the finished product

Experience with broken production environments, taken a deep breath, and fixed them

Maintain a growth mindset – looking a problem and thinking, “I don’t know how to fix this, but I can figure it out” and then breaking the problem down and owning the solution

Experience with or an interest in learning TypeScript/JavaScript

Must be passionate about mentorship

Must enjoy writing code, but know there is way more to it than that

Must be a team player

Experience working with a full-remote team across all time zones

Education

Bachelor’s degree required
