Job Description

Prime Response Inc. (PRI), is seeking a full-time Logistics Operations Manager to provide logistics base supply support at NASA in Langley, VA for a possible upcoming, long-term government contract.

The Logistics Operations Manager will represent PRI as the head of on-site authority. This position is matrixed across the organization as we are looking for someone that has thrived in a complex regulated environment and can collaborate at multiple levels.

Duties include but are not limited to :

• Provide full-time, on-site management, of all contract activities in accordance with the Performance Work Statement and government policies.
• Project a positive, professional image to our clients through competent, informed, and responsive support to service requirements;

Liaise with key government personnel in the performance of duties to professionally represent the company.

• Analyze, develop, and maintain policies and procedures for the proper acquisition, accountability, transportation, utilization, and safeguard of government property until the equipment reaches the end of its intended purpose, its useful life or serviceability, and is properly retired from government inventory.
• Responsible for all Supply Chain activities including Demand Planning, Sourcing, Inventory, Shipping, and Logistics.
• Provide effective Supplier Management to ensure a consistent flow of components to meet customer demand.
• Resolve procurement and inventory control issues.
• Establish a supplier quoting process and strategy.
• Effectively manage multiple functional teams performing a variety of logistics functions for an institutional client.
• Keep up with regulatory requirements and alter work processes to ensure compliance.
• O versee training program, including recurring reviews to retain currency with policies, operating procedures, foster cross-utilization, and develop personnel improvement plans.
• Produces monthly s consisting of workload metrics, performance-based metrics which measure compliance with contract deliverables and / or service summaries and highlights of major projects and accomplishments.
• Responsible for maintaining organizational records associated with various DoD property accountability systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated logistics leadership and managerial experience.
• Military and Government contract experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related Logistics field preferred.
• Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multitask along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
